The mayor of Podgorica, Ivan Vukovic, accused the state secretary of the Ministry of the Interior and the head of the operational team for monitoring the elections in Niksic, Rado Milosevic, of abusing the databases of citizens.

He stated on his Twitter profile that Milosevic, in addition to “disturbing” the citizens, was “spreading false news”.

“Picture and opportunity of GP URA and the Government of Montenegro”, wrote Vukovic.

The municipal board of the Democratic Party of Socialists in Niksic previously announced in an unsigned statement that the alleged results of the research that the citizens received tonight via SMS messages were false and “that they do not pay attention to this type of obstruction.”

“Certain persons who, unfortunately, thanks to their previous employment, had access to the contact telephone base of the citizens of Niksic, abused this fact in order to create confusion among our voters at the very end of the election campaign,” the DPS said.

The DPS claims that it was a private company ADVERTISMENT MIND, “headed not so long ago by the current Secretary of the Ministry of the Interior.”

They called on the authorities “to investigate the possible involvement of a high-ranking state official in obstructing the election process, fraud of citizens and connections with private companies.”

“The European team for Niksic is one step closer to another convincing victory, and resorting to such methods is proof that there is panic in the opposite camp, which they are not able to control,” the DPS Niksic said in a statement.
