Alpine has introduced a racing vehicle with “off-road” characteristics called the Alpine A110 SportX.
This model is a kind of upgrade to the A110 sports coupe.
The new concept vehicle was unveiled at a special event in Paris in collaboration with several design teams from Alpine, and the main goal was to make the model as similar as possible to the rally car A110 from the 70s of the last century, reports Auto Bild.
The vehicle has a 1.8-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 249 horsepower.
Alpine announced that the model will not be released for sale.
Auto Bild also reports that it is not yet known whether this concept is planned for serial production.
The original A110 was recognized as one of the fastest in the history of motor sports.
He reaped the greatest successes during the 70s. This model won the title at the Monte Carlo Rally in 1971, as well as the WRC title in 1973.
