The election day in Niksic passes without any serious incidents, and sporadic incidents and misunderstandings were registered by 3 pm, to which the police responded efficiently and professionally, the Police Administration announced.

“During the voting at polling station no. 118, there was a misunderstanding between the members of the polling board regarding the ballot box which was intended for voting by letter. The incident was reported to the police and members of the Police Directorate immediately went to the scene, “the statement added.

It was stated, as pointed out by UP, that the ballot box was not stolen and that it was not damaged, “it was in the vehicle in which the members of the polling board were supposed to go to locations where citizens were supposed to exercise their right to vote by letter”.

They note that the information that anyone was beaten at that polling station is incorrect.

“The state prosecutor was informed about the event and the work on this case is in progress, and all the circumstances will be determined in the further procedure,” the statement concludes.

Assistant Director of the Police Administration Dragan Klikovac said that the election day was going without major incidents.

He announced that the police would maintain public order and peace in Nikšić and would not allow an ugly picture to be sent from that city.
