Google is trying to make it easier to communicate with locals by introducing a translation option and audio help that includes pronunciation of the place into Google Maps.
For example, if you are traveling in Japan and want to ask the locals for a place, but you do not know how to pronounce it in Japanese.
With the new option starting in November you will be able to select the speaker next to the place or address and the app will say it for you.
That navigation app will also know which language to use.
Google announces that the option for Android and iOS will be available in 50 languages.
