Aston Martin has announced the production of a new Speedster model with a V12 engine, which will arrive in a limited version.
According to Auto Bild, the Speedster will be modeled on the model that triumphed in Le Mans in 1959!
The Speedster is scheduled to debut in the second half of the year, and deliveries of the first models could start in the first months of 2021.
There are no official photos of the concept of the new vehicle, but only a sketch of its appearance.
Speedster will not have a roof and windshield, and it will most resemble the Speedster CC100 concept model, which was made in 2013 on the occasion of this company’s 100th birthday.
Auto Bild reports that most of the technical specifications have remained under a veil of secrecy, but that it is still known that the Speedster will have a V12 twin-turbo 5.2-liter engine with about 690 horsepower with a ZF automatic eight-speed transmission.
It is expected that 88 such manually assembled copies will be available for sale, and its price will be around 880,000 euros.
Price information has not been officially confirmed by Aston Martin.
